I think, you may talk about the fibreglass bumpers and the power mirrors, all painted the same color as the car. Now, when I restore a later model Westy, I always got them painted the same and they look really beautiful after. Kind of the modern look of the newer cars on the market. In our times the cars don't have the chrome bumbers and don't even have the black bumpers anymore as the car industry was doing it twenty years ago. Although it is not exactly stock color but it is how we want them to look today, and if VW would have continued to manufacture them and keep the same parts, they would have painted them the same, I bet.
