Hi - It is so quiet today that I feel another Swiss Army Knife story coming on. This one is not my own, but that of a friend who had a university appointment in Botswana in the 70s. He was camped along the Chobe River in Northern Botswana in his Land Rover (no Vanagon Content) and the handle fell off of his Swiss Army Knife. That evening he mixed up a little batch of epoxy and spread it on the handle and knife. In order to hold the knife together, he put it on a flat rock and pulled his Rover up so the front tire mashed it together. So, he used his Land Rover to fix his Swiss Army Knife. Africa is full of stories of how "I used my Swiss Army Knife to fix my Land Rover." The inverse problem is harder. Ron |
