When I lived in France, there was a great ad campaign, or at least I thought so, for an advertising agency itself. French people all come back from their vacation on the first of September, and that day there were billboards all over Paris with a pretty girl standing in her bikini in the water. The caption was, "Demain, j'enleve le haut." (Tomorrow, I take my top off.) Next day, lo and behold, she had her top off. Caption: "Demain, j'enleve le bas." (Tomorrow, I take the bottom off.) And, of course, now that they had our attention, the next day she took her bottom off--but of course, she was turned around. Caption: "(The ad agency) that keeps its promises."

Had all Paris talking. This was 1982. Never happen here, that's sure.

Personally I prefer sex to death, in ad campaigns as elsewhere.
