I must be a glutton for punishment as I just bought another Westy. A '84 this time (as if I didn't have enough to do with my '84 7 pass and my '85 Westy).

Is it a disease or just an affliction?

Seek help, maybe a therapist. There's one on the list . . . but the fact that he is on the list automatically disqualifies him. ----------------------- Mike Collum <collum@VERIZON.NET> Mike further emoted to us:

As I've said ... when it comes to Vanagons, I'm not sure if I'm soft in the heart or soft in the head. I'm certainly becoming soft in the pocketbook.

Well, congratulations on your new bundle of joy! May the heads be watertight and the rod journals round. :) ------------------- Robert Keezer <warmerwagen@YAHOO.COM> Agreeably said: A Vanagon is appropiate punishment for those guilty of gluttony. Away with you to the Vanagon stocks! ----------------- BenT Syncro <syncro@GMAIL.COM> Spilled his guts to Mike Miller:

I knew I shouldn't have been deleting this thread before posting. I'll have you know, Mr. Miller that I have been selling off my children. I am down to 8 from a high of 14. I plan on getting down to 4. I think I've licked the addiction by then. Everybody needs two pair. One pair of Dokas and one pair of vans. They get lonely otherwise. So STOP thinking I'm a Vanaholic. I'm not I tell you. ------------------ From: The Department of US Navy-Ships Bureau of Personnel Subject: Your Fleet of VW Vanagons

Dear Senior Chief Coolum,

You are hereby recalled to active service effective immediately. You and your Fleet of Vanagons will be deployed to the NATO Forces presently bogged-down in Afghanistan. The Canadian Forces have run-out of combat-personnel-transporters and say, they are out of money to buy more. As your Vanagons are AKA "Transporters" our procurement division informs us that a Transporter is a Transporter: so you are it! Effective immediately you will paint all your said transporters gray and have them ready for shipment NLT 29 February 2007. Pick-up, somewhere alone the Coast of Maine. Perhaps at the same Islet "Red October" defected to some 10 years ago? You will continue to collect your pension while on active duty. A small maintenance & spare-parts fund will be made available to you and your fleet as the Navy is well-aware of the maintenance nightmare you will encounter during this indefinite deployment. Have a nice day.

Yours Truly RAdm. I. P. Freely -----------------------
