In my work as a firefighter/paramedic... we have access to these mounted spotlights in the big red trucks and on some of the older squads. We also have the handheld, portable, higher candlelight power plug into the cigarette lighter models. The usage factor is about 10,000 to 1 in favor of the handheld model.

Now, if you want to talk about the telescoping, double lamp models mounted on poles behind our cabs....THESE are great for static display/illumination.
