Ron, I'm putting 2 Odyssey PC1200's in my '87 Westy Syncro this weekend, along with the 1315. These batteries have both great cranking and make good "house" batteries.

If you haven't looked in your Aux compartment, check it out as it is likely that it's already got the wires and relay in it, since you have the camper version.

These Odyssey's are so small that they easily fit into either/both boxes but need 2X4 pieces to take up the extra space ... a nice "problem" to have, especially compared to the other popular Aux bat options, size-wise.

I'm also using Mark Drillock's procedure for changing the "kitchen" to the Aux bat. You'll find his notes in the archives. The 1315 separator install procedures are a PDF at their online site.

Follow these instructions in the archives for searching: Mark Drillock posts:

See his post of 7 June 2004.

Surepower relay: post of 22 Feb 2004, which has someone's link to their pages he liked. Also 26 Feb 2004

Other good posts: 4 Jan 2005, 24 June 2005, 4 July 2005 8 April 2006 and 27 May 2006.

All these were searching for his posts with "aux battery." There are probably more with "rewire" or something like that.

Hope this answers some of your queries. ;>)
