I'll second that with 1st hand experience when you modify the alternator / vr you now have lost the ability to be able to just drop in std off the shelf alternator & you cant just remove the isolator from your charging setup because the alt is now dependent on the isolator/alt modification to function so now a fault in the isolator leaves you stranded unless you got a soldering gun to un do the alt mod .. its butt ugly

used to have a sure power isolator now using the 1315 dual it is the perfect setup for the van
