Welcome to Vanagon water cooled system. This job is real simple. After you have taken the box off the top, close the valve, pointing backward. I use two vice grip kind of pliers to pinch the two hoses. Take out the two screws , one each side, that hold the whole thing to the floor. Undo the clamps and take the whole thing out. But not before you have a towel under the hoses to soak up the dripping. Closing the valve helps to NOT empty the core on the floor. Little screws hold the core in the body, then pull out. It is also a good time to put a few drips of light oil on the bushing of the blower. Put it back the same way. Open the valve, the bottom pointing forward. No need to bleed the system. It will fill back the coolant from the reservoire.
