I'm looking for a new van for my personal use. Recent catastrophic issues with my old Syncro (I'll post more later when I recover) have convinced me it's time to move on and try to salvage a western trip while winter is still happening. Ideally, I'd like to start with a pristine, rust-free body, cosmetics not that important. I'm open to just about anything that will allow me to get in and drive on a trip soon. Ideally, a Syncro Westy, but I'm not willing to pay the current inflated price for a 'nice' one with hidden/overlooked issues. Yeah, I know the value, however I'm looking for a driver not a beauty queen with makeup. So, what I'm looking for, in order of preference: 1) Syncro Westy 2) Syncro poptop no-kitchen 3) 2WD Westy 4) Syncro passenger van 5) OR, if some kind van owner has a 2WD or Syncro they like to rent/lease to me for 4-6 months, that would be awesome as well. I could pay with repairs, upgrades, etc. :-) If you'd like to cross-post this to any other groups, feel free to do so, and contact me at <karl999 at westyventures dot com> if you have any leads. Thanks! Karl Mullendore 1987 Syncro Westy m-TDI 542,000 km RIP |
