<Slick 50 is BAD stuff, with PTFE or Teflon , a solid that accumulates in oil passageways.>

Don't tell that to Mike Benthin (on the type2 list), as he is convinced that his '78 Westy has made it 248K miles on it's original, never been opened engine due to PTFE. Actually he has used Tuf-Oil, which also contains PTFE. Back in the 80's I had a friend with a 31' Chris Craft offshore racing boat, he used Tuf-Oil in it's 420hp Chevy big blocks and he ran the engines way past their estimated life span, and he too swore it was because of Tuf-Oil.
