I was at the junkyard the other day .A fella said he had a syncro with an automatic transmission .He even said that there was a OEM stripe on the side saying syncro automatic. I have never heard of this, and cannot see how an automatic trans can work on a syncro. His syncro is said to be a westfalia. I am not sure of this, but I questioned him as to if it was or was not a syncro and was or was not an automatic trans ,by the parts. Was there a stick shift? Are you sure it is a syncro ? Where is the gas filler? Has P_R_N_D_2_1 ? Yes it did ,he said. Everything checked out . He wondered if it was a full time syncro, as there was not a way to go back to 2WD. No button . Are there automatic syncros? --------------------------------- Looking for earth-friendly autos? Browse Top Cars by "Green Rating" at Yahoo! Autos' Green Center.
