Hi, in most case, it's one of the 2 "Y" that is OUT of the gromet/tank or broken http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/rouge94.jpg

Or one of the smaller evaporation line is broken

RARELY that the gromets are the problem. http://www.benplace.com/85rouge/rouge93.jpg

If by any chance a gromet is out, you can push this one back in without removing/dropping the tank, just wiggle you way on top of the tank through the opening behind each wheel

Now, the balance tube may also be the problem, again, one of the "Y" is broken or out of this one, is out, there is NO way it's going back in easily (black center one with the 2 "Y" on the last picture) It's kind of expensive also, WHEN AVAILABLE!!! It's sold as a kit with all gromets, small line and crossover/balance tube (+- 100$) or by itself (+-60), now the thank can be only lowered (when you have a car lift) or need to be drop.

My suggestion is to change everything, why, do i have to tell you guys that they are 20 yeat old.

Cheers, Ben

"""The fix is just a few dollars worth of parts but the bad news is that the gas tank must be dropped to replace the leaking hoses and grommets and that is somewhat labor intensive."""
