Pete, this is by far the easiest method if there is no need to change the two hoses but there is no need to pinch the lines if your not disconnecting them. To remove the pipe nipple you will need a second nut to lock up against the other to get the pipe out. Make sure you get the newest version of the O-ring. It should have small circular tabs around its perimeter to keep it in place until you get the cooler and pipe assembly back in place. I like to use a VERY light coating of Grey (aluminum compatible) RTV Silicone sealant to help keep it in place while fidgeting with the assembly. Make sure the mating surfaces are CLEAN for the new O-ring to sit on.
