Mike: I dont know how you set up camp and I have never fulltimed it but it
is hard too see how the simplicity of a westy would make it difficult to
break camp. We containerize so loading and unloading is not a problem. I
guess you have to ask yourself how much do I really need? If you need less
its going to take less time toget it together.

AS to the question of reliability- I have an 84 manual Westy. I live in
the central Valley so rust is not a problem. For 18 years I did very
little work on the van but for oil change/ breaks/bearings/ one water pump.
Almost nothing. Of course things fall apart. But after replaceing engine-
120 Tiico,transmission, radiator, ball joints, breaks and master cylinder,
Wheel cylinders, horn switch, ignition switch, muffler and exhaust header
The van meets our needs. So no free lunch, but it is my daily driver.You
have to pay to play one way or the other.
