Some time ago, I was personally attacked by some fool who was upset that I sold one of my old Vanagons for more than I paid for it. I believed his posting said he did not like my bring my "...real estate rape and pillage..." attitude towards Vanagons. Ouch! He was upset that I would not sell the camper to him for the same price that I paid for it. Hmmm.. Everett yanked his comment out of the Samba. I wonder how upset he will be find out that the same Adventurewagen is now for sale for seven times what I paid for it and more than triple what I sold it for. I guess never mind that the poor AW in question is improving in condition with each successive owner. Hey it runs now. Still looks like crap. It has a title now which was months in process. I wouldn't as much as the current seller is asking but someone else probably will. Does it really matter? Not to me. Lucky for you if you find a good deal. Too bad if you're stuck paying a premium. It's Amurkain way. In the end, WE all benefit because our vans become more valuable as they become older and more scarce.
Happy Friday!
