I've solved this "wife and Vanagon problem" once and for all: I bought a Westy for her. She loves it, and she knows if she breaks it, she has to go talk to our friends at the local VW joint for repair. We are fortunate in having a most excellent repair shop within walking distance. ;) I do, however, perform preventative maintenance on her ride. I did the restoration as well. ;) Jon
