RE: 12v Monitors If you look closely at the various monitors and small LED TV/DVD setups on the market you will find that some (note some, not all) of them are actually running off 12v DC. Look for the units that have the 'Wall Wart' type power supply. Then look at the supply itself, it will say what the output is. If it says 12v DC then it will be possible to power the TV directly off the aux battery without having to use an inverter. BUT, be careful, some such setups are running on 12v AC, not DC. If you plug a 12v AC source into a monitor that expects 12v DC the smoke will escape. Don't ask how I know..... |
