Other than mine, I can think of about 5-6 Vanagons in South Dakota. I don't see them very often and I have never seen them out camping. It is really funny to listen to people walk by our camp site and wonder out loud "what is that thing?". Sometimes we go to the drive in movie, park in the back, pop the top and watch the show. It really gathers a crowd.

There are two bay window Westys and an orange diesel Vanagon I see all the time in Sioux Falls. There is also a shop that specializes in air cooled restorations. I like to go over there and drool all over the wet paint on 23 window busses.
