I'll second what Loren says. I'm the guy who has been full-timing for the past 8 years.

When parked semi-full time, my set up is a bit more elaborate. I run a TrueTech 17" LCD TV w/built-in DVD player, which is in turn hooked up to a Dish Network Box & Dish (broadcast coverage in Ventura, CA sucks), all of which is 110VAC. I do have a generator if I were to take this stuff along on a trip, but rarely do. If I were on the road alot, I'd probably set it up in a similar fashion to how Larry Chase has his rig in the "Roadhaus".

But like Mr Squirrel, I read a lot as well.

When I take my weekend, week or two week journey way to places I wanna see & experience, I pack it out and substitute a 12VDC 6" Black & White portable because IF I have some sort of broadcast coverage, I like to catch the news and local weather. -- Jim Thompson 84 GL 1.9 "Gloria" 84 Westfalia 2.1 "Ole Putt" 73 K Ghia Coupe "Denise" 72 411 Station Wagon "Pug" oldvolkshome@gmail.com http://www.oldvolkshome.com *********************************** On 3/3/07, Loren Busch <starwagen@gmail.com> wrote: > > RE: I don't get it. > When on the road for three weeks or a month or if full timing (like one > list > member posted, 8 years) not all your time is spent in remote undeveloped > areas.
