Subject: Stuck propane Valve
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Hi all Im sure this has been gone over way to many times. But I took the 85 Westi for its 1st propane fill since ive owned it. Ive had it for 6 years never used it. Decided Ive got everything else working why not the propane and fridge just to make it all good. Well the propane guy which was Very nice and helpfull and easy going. He played with the valve for about 45 min to break it free with no luck. He said pull the tank and all and he could rebuild the valve if parts are available. Then I could install it and bring it back for a refill.

So My Questions are: 1) can they be rebuilt and are kits avail? 2) if kits are avail, Where? 3) is there anything I can do to break the valve free ( Magic spray and a dead blow hammer? ) 4) is there a simpler way maybe drop on a aftermarket tank and reg. and be done?

Just wondering. right now my 56 single cab is taking up the Lift for about another 3 weeks (hopefully). Then I should be able to put it in the air and drop the tank.

If all this is covered in the archive just point me in the right direction and give me a swift kick and I will be on my way.

Thanks Jonce
