The best, absolute best haircut I ever got was off base in Germany, where
they made Vanagons (RVC), at this little Barber shop where the guy didn't
speak English, I didn't speak German (not enough at least) but somehow got
the idea across... He cut my hair, and gave me the greatest shave with the
hot towels, etc... He never picked up an electric trimmer. The whole
haircut/shave done with a straight razor and pair of scissors.
Amazing. Of course, this was 1980, first year of Vanagon production (RVC).
