I got a few answers on this one BUUUT: Even though it has been hot here in SoCal in the last two days, my gas expansion tanks usually gurgle most when I drive short distances (like move it from the parking Gestapo for maybe 2 min), it does it when it's cold, when it's hot, can't really tell if the environment has any effect on it or if it's just random. The gurgling/gargling is coming from the expansion tanks in the front wheel wells. I did replace the hoses that are accessible, as one of them was soaked and looking wet, a few weeks ago. Still gurgles. This is not the charcoal system I am talking about since this is a Soobie conversion with the Soobie charcoal setup. Why would my expansion tanks burp and gargle??? I still do suspect a fuel pressure problem and will try to check that ASAP. Searching the archives, as usual, did my head in. Perhaps fuel pump or pressure regulator. Would that make any sense?? I'll keep everybody posted on the outcome, which may take some time as I am busy. Cheers Matthias (1984 Wolfy Soobie 2.2 "Babar") |
