Hi:
FYI:
I reported to Ebay that that listing was suspicious...because the links
didn't work properly ......so, it might be a fake spoof site....
Ebay investigated it, & responded to me that they cancelled the listing, &
suspended that seller's account.
Hope nobody got .....'scammed'

P.S. Read all the other posts...especially from 3/5/07...Subject: Re: eBay Syncro auction scam.
p.p.s. So, now the auction is cancelled, & hopefully no one got taken in by that seller who only wanted your email address & seller ID....to take you to the bank.
[just my humble opinion]. HAVE A WONDERFUL DAY EVERYONE...out of here.
I was sent PayPal money requests for a different amounts than auction
winner with a promise to pay me the difference in cash at pick up,
repeated second chance offers, unreturned emails and never produced a
phone number to discuss the purchase.
They have not returned my emails about this auction either.
I didn't Carfax the van and would highly recommend doing this if you consider buying off eBay. Make sure that it matches the model and options very carefully.

Dylan,
How did the scam work? How did you catch them? I can only assume they don't own the van at all. I noticed that the seller has 0 feedback.

Just a warning.
I won this van months ago and they tried to scam me.
It was located on Long Island, NY last time around.
I see there are already bids, bidder beware.

Hello,
You may have received a message attempting to solicit a transaction
outside of eBay or a message sent in an attempt to obtain your account

We recommend that you ignore all offers received through email that
ask
you to complete a transaction outside of eBay. Please make sure that
you
are the confirmed winning bidder on a listing before sending money to
anyone and make certain that you are dealing with the actual seller
and
not someone else. eBay only recognizes the seller and the winning
bidder
that appear on the listing page at the end of the listing.
Do not use instant cash wire transfer services such as Western Union
