The rubber boot at the engine end is an integral part of the cable. It comes with it, not as a separate part. Some one is trying to rip you off. The cable complete with boot is $22.11 from Bus Depot with the comparison dealer price given as $28.93. Van-Cafe is just under $20, and has the same picture including the boot. So tell this to the dealer and see if they give you a better price or order from one of these or another list vendor and wait a couple of days. It is really easy to install, so I'd get a new one. When I was looking for some cable connectors to try and fix mine a while back, they were hard to find in Home Depot and Lowe's because they didn't have much shelf space, but there were things there.
