Hi Dennis. Ah ok. It uses outside air. That explains why so huge. Thanks. And FWIW, all you list-ahs...... I did find measurments of core in Vanagon archives. Searched Subaru/Vanagon list too. One fellow wrote of using a GM truck heater core. Regardless I believe it was still smaller. Hmmm...... As for local suppliers of new heater core, (Vancouver B.C) only place I've found so far is VM Autohaus. CI doesn't list it.....
