I have a 1952 Life Magazine with an article about
how doctors were claiming cigarettes were the
cause of cancer.
As far as global warming goes this science is
exactly why I am subscribed to the Vanagon list.
This is where all Vanagon owners come to hear
about the political football known as Global
Warming.
It's a political activist movement, a huge
industry, and those of us who dissent are
heretics.
That about sums it up. (what I gleaned from the
BBC video)
SO we no longer come to the Vanagon list to talk
about boring Vanagons, but promote our political
views under the guise of enviromental concern.
Of course the rule abiding members must hold
their tongues as the rest of us are held hostage
to someones political views, because we
subscribed to this list and now , well, we can
just ignore it all can't we? ANd delete. ANd not
fan the flames of global warming Vanagon list
style?
Or complain, as I feel like doing sometimes just
because way too often I see off-topic subject
heading all too often. ANd tires! I think tires
bother me the most because I once had a job
unloading semi-trucks full of them.
And of course we have no idea what affect this
has on newbies who thought this was a forum about
Vanagons in all of the many forms.
Soon after such flame wars the "please
unsubscribe me" emails come in.
We can only control our topics, not the universe,
the earth, or the climate.
Flame suits are appropiate attire for those who
can't take the heat of global warming. I think
I'll turn on the air conditioning.
We have taken the football and we have run with
it. Time to be done with it.
I rest my face.
