Even so, the author reminds me that Jalama beach is supposed to be right nice in January. That's not the first time I've heard that. I was told that the road used to be too narrow for large motorhomes, but the military folk at Vandenburg AFB got the county to widen the road so they could bring their 42-footers there. Even so, it sounds very nice. I have been tempted to camp there, but it's a 5-hour drive from here and I've always wanted to get farther north than that so I've never stopped. Maybe someone in the region who has more pep-squadosity than I could organize a Westy get-together there in January?

Just tossing the idea out.
