When I first got on this list some years ago, I thought "wow, these lists are GREAT! I need to find on like this for my wife's Acura!" But there wasn't one, and there isn't one, and there isn't going to be one. Lists like this only exist for cars that people love--a lot. There may be a good GTI forum somewhere, but don't get your hopes up for another vanagon.com.
