Cha, I know what the SD is!

But honestly I never thought twice about the name Steely Dan. I was so into their excellent, excellent quality production, that I never cared. Of course I heard about the name in passing at a party or something. Can't recall full story, but know it is in reference to a battery powered "personal aid" ;^)

Yah The DB's name is completely harmless. And some of the tunes were great.
