You can go out and KICK your STOCK BUMPERS, they will get tweaked "as designed"

now sir that I DO NOT CALL A BUMPER

actually the front bumper 'structure' is under the bumper 'cover' and that is NOT replaced or compromised by any of the additional bumpers.

the rear bumper.. well thats just wrong on a +3,000# watrer buffalo our vans are. the kids schwinn would compormise it.

but to feel safe/secure behind them just because they are as delivered.. is false security.. in my not so humble opinion.

but yes to replace the rear 'bumper' (I use that lightly) requires DOT crash tests etc... so sure it's not for you or anyone else to legally alter. to each their own.. I've a nice peice of 2x6 box beam edge to edge supporting my 2" square reciver for some idiot swilling starybux to bump into. I'd rather not replace my engine, transmission and rear body for the insurance total.

*steps off soap box

I'd like to keep my stock bumpers, because they were designed for the vehicle and work as designed and intended. But having a brush guard integrated with the stock bumper would be useful in protecting the front of the van. Anthony '89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo)
