I thought the same thing at first, but in viewing the movie, it appears the engine is in the front. Anthony '89 Syncro GL (Hidalgo)

It does not look like the existing mounting systems will work. And the location of the catalytic convertor and turbo empellers is going to make installing this in a Vanagon interesting.
