Go With the GL 4 and away from the redline.

The Redline is too thin. I switched to GL-4 and now no more scratching /grinding.

I don't like the smell of gear oil , but it all should be changed 30,000 miles so why spend too much for nothing? I have a 4-speed trans I had rebuilt 10 years ago and it was inspected- still in perfect shape using GL-4 ancd changing it every 30,000.

The Redline sure was dirty after 30,000 miles . It certainly wasn't red.
