No reason you couldn't fabricate your own Robert. That was kinda my point. I wouldn't be afraid to solder one up out of copper, although I've been told that galvanized electrical conduit makes a better electrovalent match with the aluminium parts of the motor. That stuff solders okay too.

It really helps to have a bit of a lip at the end to help retain the hose, although double clamps work as well.
