There are no rubber seals in the valve body but the accumulator and the clutch pistons are all rubber seals. A stick governor or valve body may affect shift action but slipping is almost always a mechanical (metal seal rings) or hydraulic failure. Ever wonder what all that dirt is that the seafoam is loosening? Yes, it is the worn off clutch linings. Ever wonder where most of that stuff really goes? It is centrifugally attached to the outer drum of the torque converter. That is why tranny shops always want to rebuild them.

A slipping transmission can be a dirty valve body. Try seafoam trans tune from Advance Auto Parts. This is not a seal a conditioner. There are no rubber seals in the trans vlave body ,either. It will rip the snot out of an elephants trunk!! Nothing to loose?
