Sorry Dennis but it is NOT normal for any Clutch Release Bearing to spin all the time, same for the pilot bearing, i have spoken with a clutch rebuilder and he fully confim that statement, at least on most modern car. Now, you are right about the slave having a spring that push this one down, but here is our problem, it should keep the rod up and not down. The bearing is the same on Bus's and those have a return spring to keep the bearing away from the PP. Now, it may be my slaves (company... that i don't remember the name)that are week or not well design, that is why i ask here. Dennis, i know what you say is true, but something is wrong there, i don't like that as a mechanic... i will find the reason. We did some test today with an engine and tranny on the groung (measuring distance) and i'm sure that the bearing is pushing on the PP, and more than i thought. I can tell you that i have seen slave staying up, so i need to know why.
