Those Orange construction fences make good 'sand-ladders'. They are lite-weight and store easily (even flat) and will keep even the 14" wheels from sinking in the sand. Cut them (length-wise) in half and use 4 strips (one for each wheel), long enough to overlap from the rear tires to the front tires. 6 strips will keep you going (rotate the one from behind to in front and keep going).
