Turns out the new GL leaks where the coolant hose connects with the plastic line between the front and back. I was expecting this - kinda - and hopefully paid accordingly :) So the question: can the plastic lines be replaced without totally removing the gas tank (per Bently)? Any secrets to doing this? Besides going with the aftermarket stainless steel jobbies, what other options are there? Hints and advice greatly appreciated. The next step will be to pull the hose and actually inspect the line to see if it can be salvaged (using the Go Westy parts, I think). Just doin' a little learning in case the whole line is shot. john |
