I will agree that the Syncro Westy is unique. It is singular in what it does and what it can be. What is absurd is that the buyer is $82k in and still has a wbx four in it. For that kind of scratch, I would expect at bare minimum a Subaru WRX in it. Maybe even a 3.0 L turbocharges Porsche engine. A beach shack and a vehicle are apples and oranges. Although with folks paying $82k to mod a VW Vanagon camper, that's beginning to approach the same kind of appreciation real estate offers.
