Hi Don, It'd be a lot cheaper to implement a dual eBrake system than a new differential. Sand rails do this all the time. If one wheel starts slipping you simply apply the e-brake to that side and the wheel other wheel takes up the slack. My 2005 Chevy Malibu does this on its own, GM calls it a "traction control system". it works amazingly well in deep snow. I would think that dual hand brakes would be a lot cheaper to install than a modified transmission.
