Hi,

You dis-remember the physics, but not by much.  Ice floats with 10% of
itself above the level of water.  Therefore 10% of the volume of ice
will contribute to raising the level of water.

The thing with global warming is ... the ice that's melting is
currently resting upon land and not displacing sea at all.  So it will
contribute its entire water-volume to the rise in sea level.
