It is more likely, that there is some oil leak to the outside under the car when you drive and that is what is sucked back to the back of the van onto the rear hatch. My last one of this kind was the oil seal failure in the front of the engine, in the clutch area. Did not oil up the clutch but leaked out under the car and when I drove it, it sprayed the cars behind and the rear hatch. One has to take the transmission out to change it. The last time I did it for a friend, it cost him $350.
