Subject: Re: Esurance blacklist for VW Westfalia campers!

Good information here--this was a thread I wanted to start a while ago. I was considering GEICO as their rates are lowest I've found, and they offer a personal umbrella liability policy connected to the car insurance as well, which I need. Right now I have Allstate but the premiums are sky high--GEICO'S are only about 40% of Allstates, apples to apples comparison, with State Farm about 80% and Progressive about 45%.

Right now I'm paying over $2000 per year for two excellent mature drivers, two cars 10+ years old, no commute, etc. I was thinking of getting GEICO bare bones (no collision/comp) for around $400 and putting the rest in the bank. Anybody done this? If you don't have comp or collision, you don't have to worry about nitpicking claims adjusters, either...
