Subject: syncro driveshaft ques
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

hey all, I noticed over the weekend my driveshaft has developed a leak. the leak is coming from the front diff connection. Apparently according to bentley there is a seal behind that flange. so my question is, is this seal prone to leakage as mine apparently is? also, is this a PITA job. Does that flange have to be pressed in order remove to do the job. the leak is actually seapage, i just notice that it has been spraying a perfect range around that area, looks like something that could go for a while without immediate maintenance, anyone have this happen on their syncro? I already had this front diff shaft housing off when i replaced my vc a couple of years ago, wish i had the leak then, would have been easier to kill two birds with one stone. i imagine i have to remove that front section again in order to do this job. any tips would be much appreciated TIA jason 87 syncro westy so many roads to ease my soul...
