These work great for sweating copper pipe. Solder will flow in about half the time as propane. Your application seems like it would need something hotter--the MAPP gas is basically for soldering. It might be worth a try, though, since the cans are only a few bucks and work with regular propane soldering tips.
For small, easy welds, I go to the local muffler shop. Usually costs $15 or so depending on the welder's mood. |
