What a lot of people aren't thinking of, when they do their mods, is what
the vehicle will be worth a few decades down the line. Who wants a '70s Jag
with a 350 Chevy engine in it? Yeah, it might run ok, but there's something
of the Jaguar aura that's been lost. Short term, a Subaru power Vanagon
might be better than the original, but in 20 years from now, you can bet
that stock will command a higher price. It's the zeitgeist, aura, mystique,
whatever you want to call it. A car is more than just a car.
