Hello Everyone, I recently became a new owner of a 1983.5 Westfalia. I have been enjoying the huge amount of information that this list provides. The engine in my Vanagon needs a some TLC. I am not sure just yet what exactly is wrong with it. I am waiting for a Bently manual to arrive in the mail before I start tearing into anything. So far I have done a compression check. I forgot to hold the trottle wide open but I got right around 120 psi on all four. The plugs, cap, rotor, are new as per previous owner. the plugs were covered in a black soot. The van was in storage for 2 years and now it runs a little rough and is not producing full power. It also blows smoke intermittently. Any suggestions would be great. Wayne in Boise
