Learned from my son, the engineer, just after he began work with IBM a few years ago. "Nice place to work, but they have a really serious TLA problem" Three Letter Acronym. More importantly, there's actually a technical term for that process Ben advocated recently (if memory serves correctly) about loosening some stuck part with a big hammer. It's called "percussive maintenance" Who knew that smacking something as a process actually has a name.
