Subject: Starter Help
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=US-ASCII; format=flowed

The other day i went to start up the '90 westy (automatic) and got nothing. I brought the battery home to give it a full charge and still nothing. Now i'm looking at the starter, but i got out the test-light today and crawled under. The main wire coming from the battery is hot and the two other wires that clip into the solenoid are also making the test-light glow (is that right?). The bentley is showing other wires, terminals 16 and 50, but i didn't notice them when i was doing the testing.....and it's too dark now to go back.

Can anybody help me figure out the next step? It still might be too early to jump to replacing the starter, right? If so, should i remove the starter and take it to a shop to get it tested? Any other ideas???

Thanks for the help! dusty.
