Option 4) fly there and bring back a Vanagon, like I did! Then there can be two crazies in our town who have done it and we can start a club. Having made the trip, with another driver in a 6 days(one way), is there isn't much time to do anything at that pace. I did enjoy it, but two weeks would have been great. Are you going alone, or have you convinced Deb or the boys...er young men...to join you? By myself, I would want twice the time I took. Another option is to drive my friends 78 huge MB diesel van in Western Ma to him in Seattle...with a top speed of about 55mph. Hell, at least it would make your 2.1 seem like it had a Suby conversion done in your absense when you retunred to drive it. ; ) John 87 West-to-Eastfalia, Wolfsburg Wesfalia Weekender.
