Subject: What is the cable and plug in these photos please
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=ISO-8859-1; format=flowed

Can anyone please help me identify plug/cable shown in three photos at this web link? Thanks very much in advance for your help! James California 1985 Westy

You can see _*enlarged views*_ of each photo by clicking on the photo......and then click ORIGINAL size link beneath the photo.

My "mechanically inclined friend" helping me bring my van out of storage isn't familiar with it, nor am I! :-)

*Questions:

What is this plug/cable called?

What is its purpose, and what happens if it is not plugged in? What symptoms occur?

What should it be plugged into, and where is that located? *
